The Library and Learning Center at Chabot College has become a campus cornerstone, attracting over 35,000 students this semester alone, surpassing last year’s total.
Paul Pinza, the dean of liberal arts, emphasizes the importance of the library as a centerpiece, stating, "It's really important to have that visible centerpiece of the campus... since day one."
The center's design included significant student feedback and features modern spaces including quiet rooms, common areas, and specialized facilities for multicultural clubs and meditation.
Student David Sanchez Delgado highlights the library's impact on his studies, stating its quiet spaces have been crucial for his focus, describing the design as a significant improvement.
