High School Students Tackle Automated Testing and Version Control | HackerNoon
Briefly

Much has been written about the advantages of introducing version control with Git and GitHub in the classroom. Our experience corroborates the findings in the literature that an early introduction to version control and automated testing is advantageous.
The concept of test-driven learning, advocating for demonstrating automated tests alongside teaching programming early, is beneficial. Students in a research lab setting submitted pull requests to deploy tests on real open-source projects.
