The data revealed concerning trends; Asian, Black and Hispanic immigrant students experienced higher unmet need compared to 74% of white immigrant students.
While affordability improves for descendants of immigrants, disparities among immigrant groups show that not all families benefit equally from generational progress.
Among immigrant families of color, 83% of Asian, 86% of Black, and 85% of Hispanic or Latino students have unmet financial needs for college.
