Columbia University has not only failed to expel any students involved in the occupation of Hamilton Hall during a protest, but most remain 'in good standing', raising concerns over accountability.
Rep. Virginia Foxx criticized Columbia for allowing its disciplinary process to be undermined by 'radical students and faculty', claiming the university has 'waived the white flag' in response to unlawful behavior.
More than three months after the takeover of Hamilton Hall, the House committee's report revealed that out of 22 students arrested, 18 are still considered in good standing at Columbia.
Foxx's statement highlighted that criminal behavior has been met with minimal consequences at Columbia, as most arrested during recent protests have escaped serious punishment despite the rule-breaking.
