AvalonBay Communities purchased a 5.7-acre San Ramon site at Bollinger Canyon Road and Camino Ramon for $30.5 million in an all-cash transaction. The company plans to develop 456 apartments in two buildings called Avalon San Ramon, with one seven stories and the other five stories, connected by a breezeway. Construction is slated to begin before the end of the year, with residents anticipated to move in sometime in 2027. The project supports Bishop Ranch's development as a dense, mixed-use urban core of offices, homes, retail, entertainment, lodging and open spaces. Sunset Development is the creator and principal owner of Bishop Ranch.
