Owners Renie and Richard Riemann had decided not to renew their lease after a slew of robberies and financial uncertainty, but said that after business picked back up again, they'd decided to stick around. When a new owner bought the building, however, Top Dog wasn't offered a new lease, forcing the closure of an institution that's been on Lakeshore Ave. since 2011."
