New sandwich shop takes Ike's spot in Redwood City
"Nosh Corner, a casual deli serving up creative sandwiches and drinks, is now open on Broadway in Redwood City. Replacing a former Ike's Lair sandwich spot, Nosh Corner opened about a month ago and serves up signature and custom sandwiches, smoothies, matcha drinks, slushies and more. "The idea was that we wanted something with a bit of everything," says manager Ken Hout."
"Like Ike's, the sandwiches come with fun names, like the Ohh My Nosh, featuring shredded chicken breast, avocado, provolone and pesto ($13.50), and the Just a Crush with shredded chicken breast, avocado, orange glaze, Swiss cheese and pickles ($13.50). For vegetarians, there's the Avocado A-Go-Go, with avocado, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, mushroom, Havarti cheese and pesto ($13.50). Build-your-own sandwich options are also available."
"On the drinks side of the menu, look for iced matcha drinks like the mango matcha cream ($7.50), Vietnamese coffee ($6.50), milk teas ($6-$6.50), blended drinks and fruit smoothies. Salads and baked goods round out the menu. Details: Open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. daily at 2655 Broadway, Redwood City; noshcornerrwc.com"
