The City of Oakland has turned the Coliseum's impending irrelevance into a win by announcing the sale of their 50% share to the African American Sports & Entertainment Group for a minimum of $105 million, potentially even more.
Despite the Oakland A's owning the other 50%, the sale helps ease the city's $177 million deficit, with plans to close fire stations and reduce staff.
