"Noted restaurateurs George Chen and Cindy Wong-Chen, who launched the ambitious China Live in San Francisco in 2017, say that Silicon Valley was a natural choice for this project. "We transformed perceptions of Chinese cuisine in America by highlighting the rich diversity of Greater China's regional flavors, and now we aim to broaden that perspective to all of Asia," George Chen said in the project announcement."
Bay Area restaurants remain resilient despite increases in every budget category, continuing to offer high-quality food, exceptional service and community expansion. New openings include Mediterranean offerings from Turkish and Greek chefs, additional Italian and ramen options, an all-you-can-eat concept and large Asian marketplaces. Asia Live will join Westfield Valley Fair in Santa Clara with sushi stations, tandoori ovens, dumpling counters, a marketplace, upscale restaurant, bars and a dining terrace, targeting a February or March opening. Restaurateurs George Chen and Cindy Wong-Chen aim to broaden perspectives on Asian regional cuisines. Meyhouse expands to San Ramon with mesquite-grilled lamb, steak and branzino and plans live music.
