Chang, a graduate student at the Haas School of Business, and Lunaparra, a fourth-year undergraduate student, have different approaches to People's Park and student safety in the neighborhood, but they overlap in wanting dense, affordable housing in the student- and tenant-heavy district.
The election will determine a new representative for the seat, left vacant after former Councilmember Rigel Robinson resigned in early January.
