The 25th Annual Malcolm X Jazz+Arts Festival will take place on May 17, 2025, at San Antonio Park in Oakland, CA. Organised by EastSide Arts Alliance, the festival celebrates 25 years of cultural and artistic contribution within the Black, Brown, Asian, and Indigenous communities of East Oakland. With live music, spoken word, and dance, the event aims to promote cultural unity and support Oakland's creative ecosystem, reflecting a long-standing commitment to using art as a tool for liberation and social change.
Twenty-four years ago, EastSide Arts Alliance set out to create a Third World Cultural Center to serve and unite the Black, Brown, Asian & Indigenous communities that compose East Oakland.
Join us in celebrating 25 years of revolutionary culture and decades-long commitment to culture as a tool for liberation.
The day will feature live jazz, Hip Hop, Spoken Word art, food, and liberation in the heart of East Oakland.
By investing in community-rooted art, EastSide continues to elevate Oakland's creative ecosystem and honor the revolutionary legacy of Black and Brown organizing.
