Ayesha Curry is closing her Sweet July boutique in Uptown Oakland, citing safety concerns as the main reason. Opened four years ago, the store focused on selling home goods and locally-owned products, contributing positively to the community. This decision follows previous incidents, including a burglary last year. The store announced via social media their gratitude towards the Oakland community and expressed hope for new ventures in the future, inviting customers to visit for one last day before the closure on February 9th.
In order to prioritize the safety of our patrons and staff, we have made the difficult decision to close our Sweet July cafe and store in Oakland.
While this chapter comes to a close, Sweet July has exciting new ventures on the horizon that we can't wait to share.
