"I'm trying to capture it, take it all in," said Williams, reflecting on how unexpected and meaningful this season finale in Texas has become for him and Woodson.
"It's going to be beautiful, man," Woodson said about the homecoming feel of playing at SMU, a powerful and familiar backdrop to their football journey.
"We've had some real good success with guys from Texas coming out here... there’s a lot of good football there," Cal coach Justin Wilcox noted on recruiting Texas talent.
"It kind of feels like a homecoming," Woodson said, emphasizing the emotional significance of returning to Texas for their final regular season game.
