"The event is designed to welcome and recognize people of all backgrounds," said Daniel Fruzzetti, emphasizing the inclusive nature of the fundraiser and the importance of community engagement for individuals with disabilities.
CAA Executive Director Nicole Kim explained, "Money raised at the event will go to the nonprofit's general fund... and will likely be used for networking events for students, providing real-world opportunities."
Kim added, "It's really just an opportunity for the students to perform and transform perceptions of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities... fundraising is the icing on the cake."
