Mountain View police are investigating a hit-and-run incident where a driver fled after crashing into a tree, injuring their passenger. The crash occurred around 5:20 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of East Evelyn Avenue and Kittyhawk Way. Emergency services arrived to find a passenger trapped in the vehicle, whose foot was pinned by the damage. Firefighters successfully extricated them and they were transported to the hospital. The sole witness, the vehicle's owner, claimed they were not driving at the time of the crash. The driver, described as wearing all black, remains at large.
