Niantic has announced the highly anticipated Halloween 2024 event featuring Gigantamax Gengar as the star, available from 10 a.m. on Halloween until Nov. 3. This version of Gengar will be a challenging six-star Max Battle, and players can utilize Normal Pokémon with Dark moves to combat it effectively.
Costumed Pokémon return during the Halloween 2024 event, including Pichu, Gengar, Piplup, and more. Collectors are particularly excited about the availability of shiny versions of past favorites and new costumed Pokémon like Froakie with a witch hat and Rowlet with a top hat.
Regular wild encounters will feature Shuppet, Woobat, and Inkay, with the rare opportunity to catch shiny versions of Zorua and Phantump, which are typically uncommon outside of special events.
To enhance your chances of finding Zorua, it's recommended to have a conspicuous buddy, like a legendary or shiny Pokémon, increasing visibility during the Halloween event.
