Brent Collom was sentenced to six months in jail for a drunk driving crash that killed a motorcyclist and injured a female passenger in 2020.
Judge Clifford Blakely ordered Collom to spend 180 days in jail, attend drunk driving courses, and pay approximately $7,800 in fines and restitution after his actions.
Despite Collom's defense suggesting that the victim was also impaired and the motorcycle's light was off, the court upheld the gravity of the drunk driving offense.
Collom admitted to drinking before driving and his breathalyzer results confirmed he was legally intoxicated at the time of the crash.
