Qualik Tuliva, a 55-year-old man, was charged with pimping after a police vice operation caught him dropping off a 22-year-old suspected sex worker in Oakland.
Police observed Tuliva dropping off a woman on International Boulevard, where she was later arrested for attempting to solicit an undercover officer for sex.
Detectives recovered additional evidence linking Tuliva to the woman, confirming his role as her pimp, leading to his detention and subsequent charge.
Following his arrest, an Alameda County judge imposed restrictions on Tuliva, ordering him to avoid high-prostitution areas and limiting his passenger transport to family only.
