Little House on the Prairie' star slams Megyn Kelly for rant about show's woke' reboot
Briefly

Megyn Kelly threatened to oppose Netflix's reboot of Little House on the Prairie if it became 'woke.' In response, the show's star, Melissa Gilbert, remarked that the original series, which aired from 1974 to 1983, already addressed many social issues labeled as 'woke,' such as racism and misogyny. Gilbert, who has experience with current interpretations of Wilder’s narratives, urged Kelly to rewatch the original. Following her comments, Gilbert also expressed her political opposition to Donald Trump without naming him, emphasizing her support for reproductive rights.
Apparently Megyn tweeted (I'm not on that platform) asking that Netflix not 'woke-ify' their Little House remake. Ummm... watch the original again. TV doesn't get much more woke than we did.
The original show tackled racism, addiction, nativism, antisemitism, misogyny, rape, spousal abuse and every other 'woke' topic you can think of.
Without invoking Donald Trump's name, Gilbert made it clear she didn't support his return to the White House or his politics.
