Letters: S.J. Council
Briefly

As a business owner and fourth-generation San Josean, I strongly support George Casey for San Jose City Council. The current leadership has had its chance to address some serious challenges, but there is growing frustration among residents and business owners that change is needed. George, with his experience as a San Jose planning commissioner, attorney and real estate professional, is the right person to deliver that change.
Trump has consistently criticized President Joe Biden's efforts to provide student debt relief, calling them vile and not even legal. At a recent rally in Wisconsin, Trump reiterated his plan to eliminate the Department of Education if reelected. This would significantly impact students, potentially increasing their debt burdens, which could take years to repay.
It's time for a leader with the experience and vision to make real progress. Casey is that leader. His diverse background gives him a unique perspective on housing, economic development and the future of our city. George understands District 10's concerns and has the skills to tackle them head on.
Younger generations must recognize the potential consequences of Trump's presidency, particularly with student loan debt in America. It would also harm teachers, public defenders, first responders and others.
