"It's really upsetting that our kids have to witness this on a daily basis," said parent Rosa Vargas. Parents express concerns about encampments nearby schools impacting children.
"Any day a kid can be snatched and taken into one of those trailers, and we would never see them again," she said, highlighting deep fears for children's safety.
"Why do people live there? Why do those girls dress like that? Are they not cold in the winter?" Vargas recounted a child's innocent questions, underlining the disturbing exposure kids face.
"I don't get any response. Nobody is listening to us," one parent lamented, showing frustration over lack of adequate action from city leaders regarding the encampments.
