Roses on Adeline, owned by Rose Soffa Clarke and her parents, highlights family collaboration and different perspectives, symbolized by the restaurant's name. The restaurant, established after renovating Nick's Lounge, embodies large family gatherings and shared culinary experiences. While Soffa Clarke initially faced challenges, including creative disagreements with her architect parents, her fond memories of family meals motivated her to pursue restaurant ownership. A love for food developed through childhood dinners led her to establish a welcoming dining space reflective of those cherished times.
I didn't want it to be mine. In fact, I wanted 'Roses' to be plural—inclusive of all of our experiences and memories, not just my own.
Family is the heart of Roses on Adeline. Our dinners together and the food that we shared inspired me to create a place that embodies those feelings.
