Bakery El Sol, located inside the Fruitvale Public Market, has been broken into six times. The Fruitvale corridor is home to 320 locally owned establishments, including restaurants, grocery stores, clothing, and household goods stores. Still, many shop owners are suffering from inflation, high rents, a continued dip in business as a lingering effect of the pandemic, and other problems in addition to crime.
