April showers expected to linger through the weekend
Briefly

We do still have some showers in the forecast, especially in the early part of the day and afternoon, NWS meteorologist Brian Garcia said, adding that the skies should dry up by 8 or 9 p.m. Sunday.
All told, a quarter-inch to a half-inch of rain is expected in the Bay Area this weekend, with higher amounts in the Santa Cruz Mountains and the other coastal ranges in the region.
The temperatures will stay cool on Sunday in the South Bay with temperatures predicted to reach a low of 47 in San Jose. The East Bay can expect similar, with a low of 48 in Oakland and 45 in Walnut Creek.
That roller-coaster of systems is typical for this time of year, Garcia said. We'll get some warm days and get some wet days.
