A company operating 10 nursing homes in and around the Bay Area has settled a lawsuit alleging neglecting vulnerable patients' care and exposing them to assaults, agreeing to pay up to $15.5 million for non-compliance.
Issues at Mariner facilities included infected bedsores, falls, disease, and a high number of unreported sexual assault cases, among other serious issues.
