In a significant recall, Stanley has pulled back 2.6 million travel mugs due to a serious burn risk associated with defective lid threads, which can detach when subjected to heat.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission disclosed that the issue has led to 16 incidents of lid detachment in the U.S. and 91 globally, resulting in serious injuries.
