Lee Pearson unavailable for Paris due to suspension and investigation
Briefly

Sir Lee Pearson's suspension ahead of the Paris Paralympics is due to an ongoing investigation into his conduct, not related to equine welfare, British Equestrian stated.
Pearson, an elite para equestrian and Great Britain's third most successful Paralympian, has not competed since March 2023 and therefore was not eligible for selection.
While Pearson declined to comment on his suspension, he has indicated on social media his ambitions to return for the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics.
The British para equestrian team for Paris is all-female, comprising Natasha Baker, Mari Durward-Akhurst, Sophie Wells, and Georgia Wilson, reflecting a significant focus on diversity.
