French-Swiss software merger to mint Europe's latest unicorn

French software firm LumApps is merging with Swiss firm Beekeeper, forming a new entity valued at over $1 billion. LumApps offers an intranet super app for managing internal communications, while Beekeeper provides a mobile platform for engaging frontline workers. The merger aims to create an employee hub for a diverse range of job roles, including doctors and customer service agents. Together, the companies will serve over 7 million users and generate $150 million in recurring revenue with over 600 employees. Sebastien Ricard will lead the merged company based in Lyon, France.
Together, LumApps and Beekeeper will support all employees, everywhere, in this new age of work, said Sébastien Ricard, CEO and co-founder of LumApps.
Once merged, the company will serve over 7 million users, generate $150mn in recurring revenue, and employ over 600 people.
The combined firms plan to create an "employee hub" covering a broad spectrum of job roles, from doctors and truck drivers to customer service agents.
If the deal goes ahead, it will birth Europe's latest unicorn company, with a valuation over $1bn.
