EU cuts toxic air limits but still falls short of WHO guidelines

The new rules slash the yearly limits for fine particulates (PM2.5) from 25 g/m to 10 g/m and for nitrogen dioxide from 40 g/m to 20 g/m.
But the law also gives citizens the right to compensation when governments fail to follow the measures and damage their health as a result.
