Manufacturers in most markets sold fewer heat pumps in 2023, with total sales falling 5% over 14 countries, reversing the previously accelerating growth trend.
The European Commission aims to have about 60 million heat pumps by the end of the decade but may fall short at the current installation pace of 3 million a year.
