TikTok Shop crossed $500 million in US sales during the Black Friday Cyber Monday week
"A lot of more established major brands and sellers have felt more comfortable investing in TikTok, not just in advertising, but in its shopping and commerce features, which have also become more mature,"
"Not bad for official year two,"
TikTok Shop launched in the U.S. in September 2023 after a testing period. The platform recorded $500 million in U.S. gross merchandise volume (GMV) over the four-day Black Friday–Cyber Monday period. Overall U.S. online sales from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday totaled $44.2 billion. Last year TikTok Shop recorded about $100 million in single-day U.S. Black Friday sales. The platform expanded holiday listings to include established brands such as Ralph Lauren, Samsung US, and the Disney Store. TikTok Shop historically relied on small and midsize businesses but is attracting larger brands as shopping features mature. ByteDance's satisfaction with the result remains unclear.
