The retro DVDs now worth a FORTUNE - do you have one in your attic?
"Experts from Pink Storage have scoured eBay to uncover the retro discs that are now worth a fortune. Topping the list is The Real Ghostbusters Complete Collection (2008). When this first went on sale 17 years ago, it was priced at $179.99 (£136). But fast-forward to today, and it has skyrocketed in price - now fetching an impressive £750 on eBay."
"According to Scott Evans, an expert at Pink Storage, scarcity and nostalgia are the two main reasons why DVDs are becoming collectable again. 'If you have a rare disk in perfect condition, it can still sell for hundreds online,' he said. 'Before throwing away your DVDs or donating them to the charity shop, you should search the title on eBay and click on the Sold Listings tab to see what people are paying for these movies.'"
Pink Storage analysed eBay listings to identify retro DVDs commanding significant resale values. The Real Ghostbusters Complete Collection (2008) can fetch about £750, far above its original $179.99 price. Collector boxsets and early print runs, including The Evil Dead Trilogy (Anchor Bay), Star Trek: The Next Generation Borg Cube Collector's Box, and the Harry Potter Ultimate Collector's Edition, are valued between £350–£400. Titles such as 28 Days Later and Doctor Who Classic DVD sets can reach around £300, while early Friends tins and Wicker Man special editions are roughly £250. Unopened original packaging and pristine condition drive premium prices.
