"'This song is laughing at me,' Lavers said of 'Song for the Messenger' in a press release. 'Like looking over your shoulder and walking off a cliff. The video is about no fear.'"
"'Your Day Will Come' features contributions from violinist Zachary Paul and singer Maya McGrory, both of whom played on the last Chanel Beads record, plus More Eaze, Anastasia Coope, and Tchad Cousins of Urika's Bedroom."
Shane Lavers has announced the follow-up to his debut album, also titled 'Your Day Will Come', set to release on June 26 via Jagjaguwar. The album includes the previous single 'The Coward Forgets His Nightmare' and a new track called 'Song for the Messenger', accompanied by a grayscale video. Collaborators on the album include violinist Zachary Paul and singer Maya McGrory, along with More Eaze, Anastasia Coope, and Tchad Cousins. Lavers describes 'Song for the Messenger' as a reflection on fear and self-awareness.
