If you're running for a municipal office, like Peskin, City Hall is a no-go zone for campaigning. Peskin can't even respond to a text from his campaign staff while he's inside those marble halls.
Peskin technically on the clock as he worked to drum up support for a proposed Charter amendment he would introduce the next day at the Board of Supervisors. It would expand city funding for the Senior Operating Subsidy (SOS) program, which helps subsidize rent for elderly living in affordable housing.
