The Great Barnard College Diploma Mix-Up

Students who received the wrong diplomas said that the envelope from Barnard carried a graduate's name above a different graduate's address. The diploma inside, written in Latin and embossed with Barnard's official seal, carried the same name as the one on the envelope.
Barnard had used the addresses of the graduates' parents, which further added to the confusion. Many parents were expecting an envelope big enough to hold a diploma after the commencement at Radio City Music Hall.
While acknowledging that receiving the wrong diploma might seem like a 'first-world problem,' one graduate expressed frustration due to the challenging four years experienced, especially starting college during Covid.
