After ordering a Quest 2 headset during the pandemic, the setup began with discomfort that was quickly overshadowed by an immersive experience in a VR environment. The initial scene featured an empty plain with a dark red sky that was both overwhelming and strangely profound. Within twenty minutes, feelings of nausea and dizziness took over, despite efforts to continue enjoying the experience. The struggle culminated in a need to remove the headset and lie flat on the floor.
Putting on the headset and beginning setup, discomfort emerged almost immediately. Despite feeling overwhelmed and nauseated during the experience, I tried to persevere.
Under a dark red sky in a virtual environment, I encountered stunning yet isolating visuals. The atmosphere felt eerily vacant, inducing a profound sense of solitude.
