With its forthcoming One UI 7 update, Samsung is giving Galaxy phone owners a system-wide kill switch for disabling HDR content, addressing user concerns.
The new 'Super HDR' toggle will keep display brightness in check across all apps, which many users, especially at night, would prefer.
On iPhones, Apple lacks a specific HDR setting; users must enable low power mode for a workaround, which affects other system features.
While Instagram allows disabling HDR in its iOS version, a similar option doesn't exist for Android, making Samsung's toggle especially beneficial.
