The coalition government formed by Lithuania’s mainstream party with a populist party known for antisemitic statements has alarmed Western embassies and NATO allies.
Gintautas Paluckas, deputy leader of the Social Democrats, indicated they reached an agreement with the populist party, which has been denounced as explicitly antisemitic.
