Jerry Dischler, Former Google Ads Boss, Leaving Google
Briefly

Jerry Dischler, a long-serving Google executive who played a significant role in the company's ad business, is reportedly leaving the firm after nearly 20 years. His departure comes a year and a half after he stepped down from the VP and GM roles related to Ads. While some speculate his leave may be linked to his involvement in legal issues surrounding Google's advertising practices, Dischler clarified that his decision is personal, aiming to pursue new opportunities after an extensive career with Google.
The most difficult aspect of my decision was stepping away from the incredible opportunity we have before us, Dischler wrote in an email to staff this week.
Just to address the speculation, this was his decision and not related to the trial -- to pursue something new following nearly 15 years working in Google Ads.
