The test by David Pierce and iFixit shows that while sound can eject some water from phone speakers, it is not a complete solution for drying out the device.
Chayton Ritter noted, "I say [the videos] kind of work. It can't hurt, but I don't see it being an end-all-be-all fix or a way to pull all the liquid out."
