A fire erupted at the popular Bryant Park holiday market in Midtown Manhattan on Friday morning, damaging multiple business booths and creating significant smoke visibility.
The Fire Department was notified shortly before 9:30 a.m., bringing the fire under control by 10 a.m. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries from the incident.
Despite the fire, most shops and the ice rink at the Bryant Park holiday fair reopened by noon, with those unaffected planning to reopen later in the day.
The Bryant Park holiday fair is one of New York's largest markets, drawing around four million visitors and hosting dozens of kiosks, ice skating, and food vendors.
