The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has urged immediate cessation of the use of certain baby loungers after five unfortunate infant suffocation deaths were reported, highlighting critical safety violations.
CPSC reported that five infant deaths are associated with Mamibaby, Yoocaa, and DHZJM loungers, emphasizing the severity of the safety issues surrounding these products.
The tragic deaths involved infants as young as 10 days old, raising significant concerns over safety standards and the risks linked to using these loungers in unsafe sleep environments.
With reported defects including inadequate side height and excessively thick sleeping pads, these brands—Mamibaby, Yoocaa, and DHZJM—have failed to comply with federal safety regulations.
