ChatGPT has a Windows app now
Briefly

OpenAI is currently testing a Windows version of the ChatGPT app, which allows paid users to interact with the AI chatbot in a dedicated window alongside other applications.
The early app version features quick access via Alt + Space, file and photo uploads, and a preview of OpenAI's o1 model capable of reasoning, though lacks advanced voice mode.
Following the Mac app launch, OpenAI addressed a security vulnerability that exposed conversations in plain text, ensuring locally stored data is now securely encrypted.
Currently, the Windows app is available exclusively to ChatGPT Plus, Enterprise, Team, and Edu subscribers, but OpenAI aims to expand access to all users later this year.
