Baby Noah, Baby Bowe and Baby Cassian - celebrations as first babies born across country on Christmas Day

Baby Cassian, weighing 3.63kg, was born in Rotunda Hospital, Dublin, at 00.45am, making him believed to be the first baby born in Ireland today.

At the Coombe Hospital, a baby boy was born at 1.18am, weighing 2.8kg. His parents, Naga Harika Gutha and Phani Kumar Kodali, have yet to name him.

University Hospital Kerry welcomed a healthy baby boy weighing 3.07kg at 6.06am, though his parents, Emily Lloyd and Seán Deeney, have not yet named him.

The Regional Hospital Mullingar celebrated two births on Christmas Day, first baby Noah William Curry MacBride, born at 3.3kg, followed by baby Bowe at 3.4kg.
