AT&T is enhancing its Next Generation 9-1-1 ESInet platform, allowing customers to send picture and video messages to emergency services. This feature aims to simplify communication in emergencies, making it as easy as texting friends. However, users must ensure their local system uses the ESInet setup. Alongside this upgrade, AT&T is also introducing capabilities for connected vehicles to transmit crash data and giving emergency personnel access to critical public safety information over private networks.
Later this year, AT&T customers will be able to send picture and video messages to 9-1-1, allowing users to communicate emergency situations more effectively.
AT&T's new feature will let users send image and video messages to 9-1-1 'just as effortlessly as they text family and friends,' enhancing emergency communication.
