The artwork, entitled 'All the Good Times We Spent Together', created by Alexandre Lavet, consists of two empty beer cans, leading to its accidental disposal.
The museum emphasized that the cans were hand-painted with precision using acrylic paint, illustrating the time and effort that Lavet invested into the piece.
Sietske van Zanten, the museum director, mentioned that the goal of displaying art in unexpected places is to encourage visitors to see everyday objects in a new light.
The confusion arose partly because of the installation's unique placement atop a glass elevator, making it appear as if it were left behind during construction.
