HPE announces VM Essentials - the VMWare competitor that isn't
Briefly

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has unveiled its latest offering, Virtual Machine Essentials (VME), which enables unified management of both VMware and HP’s hypervisor.
HPE COO Hang Tan emphasized that "CIOs are finally rethinking their IT strategies...because embracing a single ecosystem, the cost associated with that is no longer sustainable."
CEO Antonio Neri stated that VME offers a "unified VM management experience" to help organizations manage workloads more efficiently across platforms.
Hang Tan praised VME’s self-contained nature, stating that it allows customers to "lower their virtualization costs and not have to pay for services that they don't need."
