The Chapel occupies a slender residual plot on Bazilescu Street in Bucharest, rising as a sharp triangular prism that maximizes a minimal footprint while delivering a dramatic vertical presence. The exterior is almost entirely high-performance, triple-glazed glass that floods the interior with daylight, refracts surroundings by day, and glows like a lantern at night. Fabrication of much of the building occurred off-site to reduce waste, minimize neighborhood disruption, and accelerate assembly. A lightweight steel frame supports the glass, balancing structural strength with transparency. A mature street tree is embraced as a natural canopy, and light-toned wood inside creates a warm, intimate atmosphere.
