Villa Prakriti, designed by Pranit Bora and his team, is a biophilic farmhouse located in the Sahyadri mountains of India. The project embraces its natural surroundings, specifically the forest backdrop and views of the Mukane dam. Rather than altering the landscape through flattening, the design respects the topography with a minimal cut-fill approach, allowing the house to nestle into its environment. The concept begins with an existing mango tree, framing the architectural journey through the contours of the land, emphasizing the connection between humanity and nature.
Villa Prakriti emerges as a biophilic farmhouse nestled in the Sahyadri mountains, aligning with its environment, demonstrating a sensitive architectural response to nature.
The design philosophy places emphasis on evolving with the natural landscape rather than imposing on it, creating a seamless integration between architecture and nature.
