The Tilt + Shift Collection, designed by David Rockwell for Stackabl, merges eco-friendliness with modern aesthetics, demonstrating that sustainability should be vital in design. Unveiled at Salone del Mobile, it showcases the elegance and versatility of cork, a material that matches felted wool in both appeal and practicality. Rockwell, impressed by Stackabl's commitment to sustainability, highlights the brand's progressive approach to design as environmental concerns grow. This collaboration presents a fresh viewpoint on how to create stylish and sustainable lighting products, reinforcing that responsible design can be visually impactful and desirable.
We wanted to take that same creative approach and apply it to the Tilt and Shift lamps, using cork as the base material to create a new kind of balance and contrast with the felted wool discs.
Stackabl shows us that doing good for the planet can also look really good.
As climate change continues to reshape our world, the way we design, source, and produce matters more than ever.
I was instantly drawn to Stackabl's dedication to sustainability and the craftsmanship behind their work.
